2point5 and spec.dock Are Go!

From tunertricks.com October 20, 2006. I’m sure everybody is tired of seeing the 300m as the last post for months, but I can explain…One of the members of the team at HiFi Buys here in Atlanta (Randy Lively) and myself (Matt Turner) have set off on our own and formed a new company dedicated to providing integrated solutions for electronic enhancements that improve the total in-car experience. Our company is 2point5 (named for the width of the typical iPod dock opening), and our primary focus right now is on the development, production, marketing and sales of our premier product - spec.dock - which is essentially a drop-in vehicle-specific iPod dock for most of today’s popular vehicles. As of right now, we cover many BMW, Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi and domestic models with many, many more to come. Those of you who have been visiting for a while (and dealing with the post delays) have most likely heard of the concept before here, and many have been curious or interested (I still check the email everyday, guys)…Now you have a specific place to visit to get all the information you’ll need on what it is, what it does and how to get one. We will, of course, continue to build cars and integrate other electronics in special cases (another post on this coming soon), as we have a combined track record of thirty years in the custom car audio business and just can’t seem to stop, but we are really focusing most of our efforts on developing a full line of products that are simply the best way to use Apple’s iPod in your car. Please feel free to take a look and see what we have to offer. Thanks to everyone for their past and ongoing support, and don’t expect this to be the last you see of us. We’ve got some surprises coming in the next few months, and they will still be detailed here…
